This month Tigerprint would like you to create wonderful floral designs suitable for Mother’s Day cards.

Have fun choosing the flowers that will feature in your design but make sure they are appropriate to Mother’s Day. Play with the space on your card and try interesting compositions to make your design visually appealing. Consider the relationship that the sender has with the recipient, careful use of typography and sentiment could be an important part of your design. Be confident with your colour palette and choose shades that are suitable for this event.

The Details
The focus for the design should be flowers but it is entirely up to you what technique you choose to work with. Your design should be for a card, size 240mm x 190mm landscape orientation.

You may choose to use your favourite method of working or to try something new. Please consider:

• Hand drawn illustration
• Collage
• Embroidery
• Painterly
• Photography
• Digital artwork

Be Commercial:
As always, we’d like you to keep the Marks and Spencer customer in mind. The final design must have a commercial feel that will appeal to the recipient. We’ve included some of our past designs as examples for you.

What to submit:
For this competition please submit a landscape rectangle 240mm x 190mm jpeg at 72 DPI.

Each entrant may submit a maximum of five designs each.

Please submit your entries from 1st April 2014 to 28th April 2014 using the Enter Now button below.

Don’t forget, to retain your original artwork at a resolution of at least 300 DPI, in case your design is selected as the winner.

Take Note: You are not allowed to submit a design that is for sale or has been sold to another party. Tigerprint can only accept original or unpublished work. If you submit an unsuitable entry we won't be able to choose you as our winner.

We will endeavour to approve your designs within 48 hours, after which they will be displayed in the current entries gallery.

The winner will receive £200 and a possible placement in our Bradford studio depending on availability.
