The Brief

The aim of the brief is work up a design using ‘Lovely Days’ as your theme.
This covers off any day that involves coming together with another person to celebrate a special occasion.
For example, Valentine’s Day, Wedding Day, Engagement, Mother’s Day or just spending a
‘lovely day’ with that someone special...
Your designs could be applied across a range of products from Greetings Cards, Gift Bags & Stationery Products for the M&S customer.

Your designs could be inspired by anything and cover off any of the below:

* Cute/Fun inspired characters - this could be animals or a cute couple in the park (see example images below) - we love cats, dogs, woodland animals or any animals that make you go awhhhhhhh...

* A ‘love’ inspired pattern - think about all over or placement prints using bright colours to reflect a special day

* Special words/typography - words that you’d send to a loved one, a friend, or a family member on a ‘lovely day’
(Please see examples below of captions for you to illustrate as a starting point)

Be as experimental as you wish using a range of medias & mark making,
hand drawn text, water colour, linear drawings, collage, & combining this with the digital effects.

Reference/ Editorial

Below are some current designs in M&S stores. Your designs need to have adult appeal with a clear commercial edge.

There’s also some editorial to get your started...

I like like you
You’re my fave
Want to hold hands?
Let’s Smooch
Love Sweet Love
I’m falling for you
You make my heart happy
I think you’re nice
You’re my favourite
I like you and naps
After all this time? Always.
It’s better with you around
You’re so wonderful
You’re a diamond
